About Me

Scott KlettkePeak-to-Creek Trail

My name is Scott Klettke. I am a 25 year old third year medical student at the Medical College of Wisconsin. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in May 2006 with a major in Molecular Biology. Feel free to ask any questions about MCW as a medical school or general questions about applying/interviewing at medical schools.

I have a very diverse range of interests: I love tennis. (I took 5th place at State my senior year of high school). I also teach at Nelson-Feller, a tennis camp for kids up through end of high high school. Besides playing tennis, I also love biking (road and mountain), skiing (downhill and skating), volleyball, running, kayaking, and staying very active. I also enjoy hiking in the mountains. I’ve traveled quite extensively throughout the United States (at least the West, Northeast, and Southeast). I recently returned from a trip to the Seattle and Vancouver area (we were on a ski trip to Whistler — see photos from this trip by clicking the skiing photo above). I’m from the Midwest. The only international trips that I’ve been on were to Canada (driving through to get to Vermont from Wisconsin and driving north from Seattle to Whistler, British Columbia) and the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico (Cancun/Cozumel). However, this summer I had the opportunity to study abroad in Cyprus. We traveled to Europe a week early and stayed in Denmark. A week after returning from Cyprus (the class lasts for 3 weeks), I went on a medical volunteer trip to Nicaragua/Costa Rica with International Service Learning.

I have also completed the Ironman Wisconsin this past Fall. Here’s a picture of me on the biking part:

I also enjoy reading: Clancy, Crichton, King, Ludlum…basically a really wide range with concentration in thrillers and spy/war stories. I also find history books (especially WWII history) very interesting. I am quite a fast reader and usually finish 3-4 books each vacation (usually one book per flight day).

I also enjoy investing. And have an investing page here: Investing in the Stock Market.

Hi Scott - found you in a “scam debugger” on Gorilla Trading System.
Enjoy your WebSite. You are a pretty impressive guy. America needs
more people like you - you can be a great leader - and God knows
we need leaders to fix our broken systems (like the one in Washington)

You don’t seem to “hope” for a great life - - - - you seem to have a
strategy - - and go after it.

    My best to you

    Hey Scott,
Thanks for the comment on my photo’s, very much appreciated!
Yeah, these pictures from our euro trip that i uploaded so far were HDR, and some of them are indeed handheld.
    Awesome that you’re visiting Prague!
It’s an amazing city, and oh so cheap. I would most definetely suggest bringing a tripod. Also.. a couple of sights you should see.. The Old Town Square. Beautiful, especially at night, the Týn church looks like a gothic version of Hogwarts.
Charles Bridge and Hradcansky Castle are also amazing.

Once again, you won’t regret going to Prague.
Let me know what you thought of it!

    Mike Miltenburg.
